Ask Galaxia
Ask Galaxia is where you ask your active models and model groups questions in plain language. Galaxia answers from the model's sources only, and every answer shows where it comes from.
To open it, click Ask Galaxia in the side menu, or click Ask on a model or group tile on the Models page. Build new model on the Home page also opens Ask Galaxia with your new model once it is active.

How answers are produced
Galaxia retrieves matching knowledge from the model's sources using deterministic reasoning. It does not use any outside knowledge.
The retrieved result is passed to an external language model (AWS Bedrock), which only rephrases it in natural language. The language model has no access to other knowledge and cannot add facts.
Every answer links back to its sources. Open Details under the answer to see them.
If the sources hold nothing relevant to the question, the answer says so.
AWS Bedrock also suggests a short name for each new session, based on your first question.
Starting a session
A session is a thread of questions and answers with one model or one group. With a group, every question goes to all models in the group.
Click New session.
Choose a model or a group. The list shows your active and sleeping models, and the groups whose models are all active.
Ask your first question.

If none of your models is active, the list shows No active model available. Activate a model on the Models page first. When you open Ask Galaxia with Ask on a tile, a session with that model or group starts right away.
A new session is named after its model. After your first question, it gets a short name based on the question.
Asking questions
Type your question in Ask about what's in this model… and press Enter or click the send button. Press Shift+Enter for a new line. A question can be up to 500 characters.
Each question is answered on its own, so include everything Galaxia needs in the question.
Galaxia works on one answer at a time and shows it in full when it is ready. To stop it, click the stop button.
You can switch to another session or page while Galaxia is answering. The answer is saved in its session, and the notification Answer ready tells you when it is done.
If the model is sleeping, you see … is waking up — the first answer may take a little longer.
If the session's model is no longer active, the question box is replaced by Model not available. Activate the model again to continue.
Context hints
Click + next to the question box to add hints to the session:
Planning Hints guide the planning phase, in which Galaxia turns your question into sub-queries.
Synthesis Hints guide the synthesis phase, in which the answer is written.

Enter a hint and click Apply. Hints show above the question box: click one to edit it, or × to remove it. They apply to every question you ask in the session and are cleared when you switch to another session or start a new one.
Answers and details
Galaxia turns each question into several sub-queries and searches the model with each of them. Under each answer you see Details (N) with the number of results, when you asked the question, how many sub-queries Galaxia used and how long the search took.
Click Details to open the details panel:
Sub-queries filters the results: - All - or a single sub-query.
Each result card shows the number of its sub-query, the source file and row, the confidence (High, Medium or Low, with a percentage), the retrieved sentence with the matched words highlighted, and Matches: which words of the question matched which words in the source.
See in graph opens the result in the Graph Model Preview in a new browser tab. It is available in sessions with one of your own models, and WebGL must be enabled in your browser.

Managing sessions
Sessions are listed on the left, most recent first. Search them by name in Search sessions, or show the sessions of one model with the All models filter.
To rename or delete a session, right-click it, or point to it and click ⋮. Deleting a session removes it at once, without confirmation.

Sessions are saved in this browser only. They do not appear in another browser or on another device, and clearing your browser data deletes them.
Public models and subscription
Public models can also be asked without signing in: click Ask on the Home page. Visitors who are not signed in see public models only, and a request limit applies. When it is reached, the answer says Request limit reached. Try again later.
If your subscription is not active, Ask Galaxia shows the Subscription required window. Click Manage subscription to go to your account and renew it.
